Coleman County Electric Cooperative is a member-owned utility company that distributes electricity in Central Texas. As a member of the Touchstone Energy Cooperative, they do have increased purchasing power when buying electricity for their customers.
Coleman County EC does not generate electricity for their customers. Instead, they purchase all of the energy from Amarillo’s Golden Spread G&T. This electricity is then distributed to their customers across almost 72,000 of their own power poles.
Coleman County EC participates in the Round Up initiative. This program allows their electricity customers to round up their monthly bills to the next whole dollar. The extra monies that are collected are then set aside to help other customers in their time of need. The money can go to individuals or to local businesses and nonprofits.
