NEC co-op Energy Products and Services
NEC co-op Energy operates differently than most Texas retail electricity providers. They are structured as a co-op. Unlike other Texas electricity Cooperatives, they aren’t limited to serving customers of a specific region. They compete against other electric companies in the deregulated areas where customers can choose any provider they want.
People who enroll for electric service with NEC Co-op are members rather than just customers. NEC is a not for profit organization. Any profits are redistributed to its members based on their electricity usage. There are no contracts with NEC. The single electricity plan available is a variable rate electricity plan.
NEC was founded in 2005 and is based in Corpus Christi. The company is involved in numerous community programs such as the Government in Action Youth Tour and the NEC Scholarship Program.

Always review the Electricity Facts Label before choosing an energy plan
If you’re curious about your electricity usage, you should be looking at the Electricity Facts Label on your bill. Knowing how much energy you’re using will help you budget your electricity usage and save money on your electric bill. The label tells you the kilowatt hours (kWh) that are charged to your meter for each billing cycle, as well as how much it costs per kWh, so check this out before selecting a plan.
