Fort Belknap Electric Cooperative is a small electricity provider in Texas, servicing rural customers in 7 North Texas counties. With only 2,100 miles of power lines and 6,000 customers, Fort Belknap EC is one of the smaller Texas electric co-op companies. They do not generate the electricity they provide, rather they buy it wholesale from Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, then turn around and resell it with a slight mark up.
Fort Belknap EC is a member of the Touchstone Energy Partner group. Because of that association, their customers have access to Smart Hub. With SmartHub, you can view your account information and monitor how much energy is being used. You’ll also be able to make payments from anywhere with just a cell phone or computer.
Net metering is also available to Fort Belknap EC customers, which gives consumers who install private solar panels an advantage because it allows them to not only generate electricity but also sell their excess back to the electricity grid.
